Another battle come and gone. As Rep will not be joining this time round I will be taking over. I can't speak as to where he's gone. Told me he was going out for milk but that was like five days ago. Nevertheless we shall soldier on.
Tough, rough battle that last one. Almost immediately a victor rose to the surface, mercilessly destroying the other, pitiful, whimpering decade. All those who won, please take one step forward -not so fast there 1920's. I guess maybe people were scared off by its constant roaring. Whatever the reason, it died quietly, without any dignity. The 70's on the other hand had a loyal following. If I didn't know better I'd think there were people being paid to vote a certain way. But I do know better, so there wasn't. Now than, let us have a look at the last match before the semi-finals.

Between the two decades there's a lot of good music. Almost tough to pick between the two... Luckily for me, that's up to you fine folks. The clock is ticking down, whose time has finally wound down? You have until Monday night to vote. On Tuesday, we'll find out if we'll be doing the twist or skanking to the beats.
I love the 90's simply because I said goodbye to my red pinafore and catholic school to the bad (actually not at all bad) world of college....right at the start of it well almost... ;)
ReplyDeleteThe 90's, yo.
ReplyDeleteTough one, but the 60s had way more value in history. And I just proved by my post that the 90s weren't.
ReplyDeleteyo yo yo 90s!
ReplyDeleteWell since I was alive and getting laid in the 90's, it gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough choice. OT was getting laid in the 90s. Then again, I was born in the 60s, so I'm leaning slightly in that direction.

Like Robyn, born in the 60's, so while that makes that decade cool beyond all reason, fact remains - I don't remember it much!
ReplyDeleteGoing with the 1990's, and decade of prosperity. (And I got married so definitely not lacking there either!)
never thought id say it but loved 80's 90's
ReplyDeleteWas 22 in 1990, great times and music, but I've gotta vote the 60's for the music and I was born in 'em!
ReplyDeleteSince I was growing up in the 60's I have to go with what shaped my so-called formative years.
ReplyDeleteSurely this is a semi-final, if it's round 6. (5x2=10)
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, the 90s for me were bollocks. Sure, it invented the world wide web, but the rest of my life was a sad ineffectual joke, and it was a terrible decade economically.
I vote 60s, because that's when I was born.
acid rock, acid, free love, tune in-turn on drop-out...
ReplyDeleteGotta be the 60's!!!
I'm going to have to give it up to the 90's on this one.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm losin' this one - - - but I say 60's.
ReplyDelete90's. I wasn't here for the 60's. It's that simple.
ReplyDeletefight , fight , fight..... If you are gonna throw down a five spot on the toughest decade, can we stay within the us borders? so that rules out vietnam and the gulf wars. fight near the end , then quit before the big blow. both losses. Assasinations in the 60's were a big thing, only because they involved iconic figures. traumatic? how bout Oklahoma bombing and the columbine massacre? These two events defined our pussyfoot attitude of tolerence. Which leads me to my point. The downfall of the American idealism began in 60's when they took God out of the schools. The consequences were epic in the 90's. 60's win with a crushing blow to the whimpering pansy that was the 90's
ReplyDeleteTwo words, Grunge Music.
ReplyDeleteNeed more?
It was released in '89 but still counts....Ice Ice Baby....
Come on, the 60's were all about flowers and love-ins. Oh wait, there were assignations and civil rights. Those were big, bigger than Vanilla Ice's hair and pants.
I abstain.
Add another one in for the 60's, simply because I was born then, too!
ReplyDeleteTough choice...but since I don't have direct experience of one decade, I'll have to put my vote where I was alive at the time.
ReplyDeleteGive it up for the 90's!
Ima go with 1960. I feel like the 1990's were pretty bland and uneventful, especially compared to the 60's.
ReplyDeleteSheesh! I go out for milk for just a few days, and you try to sneak in a battle before I can get back. Well, too bad; I made it. And the 1960s will suffer for it because I'm throwing a whole wheelbarrow full of votes at the 90s. The first and last decades are my favorites of the century, and since the 19-zeros lost, I'll have to do everything I can to help the last decade win. Final answer: The 90s.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the 60s...because it looks like they could use a little love.
ReplyDeletePlease, the nineties had more freakshows than we could ever have hoped for and there is nothing better than a good freakshow to me as you know.
ReplyDeleteThe 60s still had dirty hippies which will forever put it on the bottom of any decades for me. Thank god I only had to live five years in that stinky trainwreck.
How can people vote against Martin Luther King and Keith Richards? The 90's are eunuch years by comparison to the 60's.
