I was not expecting a talking sophisticated gator...you keep on surprising me with this column. It is really good that when I enlarge the comic, the last frame is off screen right...the punch line is never spoiled!
If you have a gator that can talk then you explain the game of 'fetch' before you even toss the first stick. That, to me, seems reasonable. But to expect him to get the purpose of the game all at once, well that is putting way too much pressure on any amphibian. Sorry buddy...its like Jung said to Freud - if you can't take critique of your stuff then don't be in the cartooning business.
haha, clever
ReplyDeletewonder if dogs think that way too when you say fetch.... ;)
ReplyDeleteYay for Pete! That's one smart alligator. Or is he a crocodile? Who cares cuz he's smarter than a dog, in any case! - G
ReplyDeleteI can see plus gator toys this holiday season!!!! Love it. I also like your layout ability. Impressive.
ReplyDeletewasn't that a toothpick for after he ate a poodle?
ReplyDeleteThese comics are so good that they could be in my daily newspaper! I'd look forward to it...
ReplyDeleteI can see these being part of the comic section in the newspaper, too!! You should consider it! I think these are great!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for the birthday wishes!
I love it. Yeah, why has this fetch game lasted through the centuries? The stick just sits there. Keep these coming. They're brilliant. xo

ReplyDeleteMy labbie doesn't get it. Unfortunately for him I do, and am considering trading him in for a gator.
ReplyDeleteYAY comics
ReplyDeletehahaha, I thought the gator was gonna eat him
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite of the ones you've done so far. I've always wondered what dogs got out of fetch.
