I'm wet

Just a quick post to ask those of you who pray, to keep the Nashville area in your prayers. The place is flooding everywhere. I barely got out of my apartment before it was flooded over. Couldn't even get the vehicles out of the parking lot. My brother and I trudged through to a motel and are drying out. All I grabbed was my camera and laptop, but my camera was barely charged. I will have some more pictures in the future, and maybe some video, but I'm not even sure when I'll be posting, given the circumstances.

This was my backyard. Ten minutes later it was risen up twice as high.

Krogers parking lot. When I crossed it it was relatively uncovered. This was five minutes later.
The main road running through looked like a river.

Course my complex looked like it was in a lake...

The waters in my immediate area are receding. Though that could just be temporary as it's raining again. Hopefully we'll find out what kind of damage has been done shortly. Hopefully our vehicles still run.

That's it for now. I might set somethings to post this week. But I just don't know how long before I'll really be around.

  1. We are in West Meade and it is a mess! I have a friend on Charlotte that is stuck and my hubs is trying to check on our grandparents but their road is washed out. It is so scary. We have no phone and the net goes in and out. You guys be careful out there!!!!!!!

  5. Geeze, I knew about the catastrophic oil spill, but I had no idea you all are being flooded. I've added you to my ever-growing (but real) list of people to pray for. Be careful and safe!

  9. That sounds like a nasty situation. You should wear water wings everywhere you go, just in case. Those things save lives. You guys down there are in my thoughts/prayers.
